I started a swatch for my sweater with the Donegal tweed and Mushishi yarn. The color changes are short so I'm not going to get the look I was after. I will knit 4 or 5 rows of the Mushishi then 2 rows of the gray and see how things look. It will knit fast on #9 kneedles.
I finished the Bunny Hop Anklets and wore them with my keds, they slide down a little but not completely off my heel like all my store bought footies I may add the bunny tail. I will definitely be knitting more with my leftover yarn.
I have made progress on the other socks, son told me the first pair I made for him slid down his legs so I am making the calf of these larger but need him to try them on before I go any farther. I'm just working on the gusset of the blue pair. I'm as flighty with knitting projects as quilting. The weather is changing to fall outside and time to put on the hand knit socks. Check out what everyone is knitting at Judy's on the needles. --Ann--
All of your projects are lovely. I really like the anklets and what a great use for left-over yarn! Keep on knitting. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Bunny Hop anklets. Maybe more of a cuff will help keep them from sliding down. Thanks for sharing the link. I'm so happy to be able to wear my socks again.
ReplyDeleteI sure understand about being flighty with the projects. I don't think I've worked on anything 2 days in a row this week. :)
I was just thinking the other day that it is time for me to start a new pair of socks too - I didn't stop to think that it might be the time of year :*) Boy, do I ever understand the being flighty part! I'm that way in all my creative projects. Love your bunny anklets! And the tweed sweater project looks nice and warm - perfect for the coming winter!
ReplyDeleteAll your knitted projects are looking good to me. I especially like your Bunny anklets. Once I mastered making an easy shawl, maybe a short sock would be easier than a full one? They look so cute, but with all that lacy top, I'm not so sure they are easy. I think putting the bunny tail on the back would solve the sliding down problem.
ReplyDeleteLove the anklets!
ReplyDeleteI am a firm believer in switching. How else would you be able to tell if something was working or not?
