June flowers
Another block done! But I think it needs a ribbon or a bow around the stems I'm thinking yellow. I’m not going to meet my goal of completing all the blocks in June but only one left. click to see all the blocks —Ann—

quilt seeds / scraps
The start of another quilt from my little bags of quilt seeds leftovers from previous quilts. I take out the parts then reach for fabrics to add and start cutting and sewing and cutting and sewing some more. This little bag of scraps even had the recipe for the quilt complete with the name of the book and author. Most of my decisions were already made for me. Happy quilting. --Ann--

Sweater finish
Just finished this sweater Lino-T, the pattern was a bit of a challenge just because of the way it was written, it started in the center back so increases were in the knit rows and the purl rows while shaping the neckline. I used an increase that was easier to do in the purl rows than her instructions. The designer also used different abbreviations than I am used to. I sat down and read her instructions line by line and rewrote them with the abbreviations that I know. I am very pleased with the sweater and might knit it again and might try some of her other patterns now that I understand her lingo. The yarn is Lana Grossa Linea Pura Solo Lino which is linen and viscose linen. I love the way it feels and drapes, like a t-shirt only dressier. Have an appointment for a hair cut later this week.

Kaleidoscope blocks
I walk downstairs and see this on the design wall its like a cool tropical breeze coming off the water. These colors and fabrics are so bright and refreshing. All of these parts were leftovers from previous kaleidoscope block quilts. Sometimes I really get carried away cutting strips and segments for quilts. The only fabric that had fresh cuts was the border fabric and all of it was in the stash. I'll make a couple more quilt tops before I baste and machine quilt. --Ann--

June flowers
I dug this out of the closet because I thought I was going to need a little go project but we didn't need to go so instead I have been working on this with my afternoon coffee. I started it in 2017 I think. I had all but a couple leaves left on two of the four now finished blocks. That was so easy to complete that I kept at it, the stems are now finished on the pink bouquet. I may finish the last 2 blocks before June is over and as hot as it has been it is a very doable goal. I'm going to add 4 patch and little pinwheels all in a row to fill in and square up these blocks. Thankful for central AC. --Ann--

new project
A new project out of the hall of c.r.a.p. (creative resources and projects) otherwise know as the closet. Just a little baby quilt made from leftover pieces from earlier quilts. Its so nice to open a bag of quilt seeds to start the next quilt. Next to sew all the corners to each block. I might have enough of those parts too. These colors are cool and refreshing after days of 90 degree temps and more in the forecast for at least another week. The downstairs is cool. --Ann--

Irises
I think iris are the most elegant of flowers. They are blooming in mass at McCrory Gardens where I help tend them. --Ann--
