The Summer of Unfinished Projects

This has been the summer of unfinished projects. Or maybe it has been the summer of spontaneity and road trips to see the little girls. Let’s go with that— spontaneity!! And the little girls!! After all this was the only summer they would be 2!! Such fun…..all the words they have learned and skilled they have acquired followed by “I did it!”  Cutting onions with a table knife for spaghetti. The onion had been in the refrigerator so no tears.

I was almost as excited after picking raspberries and making freezer jam. “I did it!”
I’m knitting little cardigans for them but I want to try it on one of them before I knit the sleeves.
My cardigan is going to be ripped, I knit one sleeve part way then tried it on, it was too tight. Urghhh so I counted stitches……too few stitches by about an inch and a quarter, the only way to fix it is to rip way back. That won’t take long but since I have been working on this since June and lacking enthusiasm for it maybe I will knit a different sweater. It’s not done until you love it and I am not loving it.
Lots of other little projects in various stages of not done. It’s time to write a to do list and get back on track and see if I can finish something before Christmas. Seize the list now and enjoy the moment when I see the little girls again in a couple weeks. —Ann—

Ann, they're precious! You've accomplished quite a lot, I'd say! You know that those little girls aren't going to be this age ever again~ spend all the time that you can right now, sweet memories in the making. <3

I was up with my grands for a few days and couldn't comment from my ipad. I agree with you... spending time with these littles is top priority!! Yours are so adorable and how fun that they are helping you in the kitchen. My Olivia loves doing that, too.
