18 years
I remembered what day it is so I put my American flag out. The anniversary is more somber for me this year because daughter and I visited the memorial when we were in New York City last winter. I didn't take any pictures inside because it didn't seem right. There is a reflecting pool in the footprint of the south tower. The new World One Trade center and the New York skyline. The tour of the museum ended with a short film about the weeks and months after the attack. The last scene of the film was the budweiser super bowl commercial and the clydesdale horses bowing at the site. --Ann--

NYC
Parting shots we took the subway to the South Ferry to go to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Three bucks one way on the subway and couldn't have been easier, put money in the slot and get a ticket and buy another one to go back. We also went to the 911 memorial and taking pics there just doesn't seem right. We decided to go to one more Broadway show while we had the opportunity and saw Wicked. We walked 35 miles from Sunday through Friday. It was a memorable week --Ann--

The Museum of Modern Art the fun functional things this book lamp was so cool. I remember my art professors saying form follows function and less is more. So true of good design.
then on to the impressionist I always thought Van Gogh's The Starry Night was large. Its only about 30 by 36 inches and the brush strokes were huge and lots of people to try to look around.
The Olive Trees by Van Gogh
Edvard Munch
Mondrian Picasso
Lunch at the Hello Deli made famous by David Letterman most of the sandwiches were named for his cast and crew and current cast and crew of the late night TV shows. I had the best cup of coffee there that came out of a bunn drip coffee maker!

Darling Daughter and I went to New York City last week. She had time off and I just had the time and To Kill A Mockingbird was on Broadway. Our hotel was just a block from Times Square so we could walk to just about everything including the theatre. The play was wonderful! our seats were second row of the balcony or as they call it front mezzanine. I didn't think anyone other than Gregory Peck could be Atticus but Jeff Daniels pulled it off. There was a lot of humor in the play. I'm so glad we went. It was snowing there. More tomorrow. --Ann--
