on the needles

New projects on and off the needles. Up on top a wool free self striping yarn just plain stockinette stitch.  Another pair of gloves once I get past the awkwardness of all those needles and remember a finger is just a thumb without a gusset they are not that difficult and what fun to use self striping yarn, the finished pair is Opal yarn.  The red and brown pair for DD is Blossom Street yarn. I knit two at a time on a cable, knit the pinkie on dp needles knit a couple more rounds and begin the ring finger, then I had to put the rest of the stitches on a ribbon, it is so much easier to put the stitches back on the needles from a ribbon.  I knit all the fingers on both gloves then knit the thumbs.  And a V neck top down sweater for oldest son using Rowan felted tweed yarn.  Linking to Judy's OTN.  Enjoying these sloppy spring like days on the prairie--Ann--

I am so impressed with the gloves, I still haven't been brave enough to try those yet!

I love the way the yarn in the socks is striping up! Very cool. I have yet to tackle gloves. They seem intimidating, somehow, having to knit the small amounts for the fingers, and then sew in the ends for all the fingers. Especially since sewing in the ends is my left favourite, most put off until later thing in knitting. LOL!

What great looking gloves. You make it look and sound easy, but I'm sure that not the case. Love the yarns you are using.

I'm with everyone else, the gloves look great and hard to do. But I love what I am seeing.

Awesome gloves! I've not tried them yet, but your comment about the fingers being like gussetless thumbs might have just tipped me over to trying it.
