South Dakota

The South Dakota prairie is as green as I have ever seen and my hollyhocks are loaded with blossoms. Life is good--Ann--

Here in CA we are crispy and brown. It's a declared drought so you shouldn't water your lawn, and be careful showering and washing your car. Luckily we have had some clouds the past few days to keep the temp from going over 100. Shade is good.
We traveled SD 20 years ago. Visited mostly in the Custer area, and saw Deadwood. Went to a gold mine, Rushmore, a cave, the pigtail bridge, ate in a converted bank, and the best was driving through a buffalo herd. Really enjoyed the whole thing.

Wow, I'd expect to see a prairie schooner sailing through that landscape! Thanks for sharing the views and those hollyhocks are the bomb!

Love those hollyhocks! They make me think of growing up in Wisconsin.
