On the needles

Knitting has been a little slow the last couple weeks. Might be because I discovered Downton Abbey on my kindle and its hard to knit when I am watching the small screen on my lap rather than the screen across the room.  The characters and story has just drawn me into their world. Can't wait for the next season to be released. I have also been reading The Waiting by Cathy LaGrow for book club it is a true story about adoption and the story starts in South Dakota.  It is the best story I have read in a  long time. Linking to Judy's On the Needles. --Ann--

Downton Abbey...I was sucked into that show a couple of years ago! It is quite addictive and so good! Your knitting projects are wonderful, as usual! Thanks for the book recommendation. I'll have to look for that one.

I've been enjoying Downton Abbey on dvd- while pottering in my sewing room :-) Your socks and mitts both look great - love the stitch you are using on the socks.

I, too, love the pattern you are knitting on those socks. Can you share what the name is? And I want to do fingerless mitts (no central heat in my studio) but seem to stop at just wanting.

Love your colorful projects Ann! And thanks for the pattern stitch for the socks - I really like it. I've loved Downton Abbey since Day 1 and have not missed an episode! Really sad next season will be its last. I'm catching up on Call the Midwife now - amazing series!!! I just purchased The Waiting on Audible and can't wait to listen. I'm almost finished with my current listen and this one will be next. Thanks for the tip!
