The hollyhocks just take over, last year I cut them all down so we could paint the house in June. They came back and bloomed in August, not quite as tall but they bloomed like crazy. Now they are tall and blooming like crazy again. Did you ever make a hollyhock doll as a kid? --Ann--

ahh they are so beautiful...my grandmother had them in her garden...they always take me back to hers....
ahh....hollyhocks make me think of my grandma and going to visit her in the summers as a child in South Dakota. Thanks for the memory!
I love hollyhocks, but have trouble growing them here. They come up maybe twice and then disappear. Yours are gorgeous!
Love the hollyhocks! They really don't grow well here.
