Design Wall Monday

Tessellating Star
I love arranging tessellating stars. Everything has to be placed before any sewing is done.

I still need to cut more blue and green squares for stars and decide what I want to use for the background fabric, either a pale yellow or a white with a light blue print.

I cut 5 inch squares then cut in half 2 1/2 inches wide then cut the rectangles in half diagonally. All fabrics must be right sides up and always cut  the same angle otherwise you star will twist the other direction.

Planning color arrangement on graph paper.

Happy planning,
Ann

Your tesselating stars looks fabulous but I'm with Jo, way beyond my organizational abilities! Hope to see it progress...

OK - yikes! My brain is twisting just like your stars. Can't wait to see the result.

Thanks for showing us how this is done! I want to try it out. What size are the center squares?

I saw this on your "you might also like" section, and had to come see it. OMG - it must have been hard to keep track of what goes where. Love it.
