Great Day

I had a great day on my birthday.    We went out for supper with friends the night before.  Little did we know that a bridge was out on the road so we took the scenic route around and saw parts of the county that I had not seen before, corn and beans were being harvested, the hay fields in contrast were as green as June and there were cattle grazing in the Big Sioux River valley and all the valleys leading into the Big Sioux valley.  It was a gorgeous fall evening.  Earlier that day hubby put up a new light fixture in my sewing room. I can see now! and direct the light where I choose.  He's a great guy!!  On my birthday my phone was dinging all day long with B day wishes, he sent texts to all my cousins, friends and brothers.  I went to the farmers market that morning to get fresh raspberries and I got a hug from a Chip and Dale dancer! Really can anybody top that!?! and he told me how fit and healthy I looked.  I'm going on that all month.  Its his birthday today  Happy Birthday Day NS!  There were also some spinners and dyers at the farmers market, I bought a skein of alpaca yarn, the yarns were all named for the alpaca who gave the wool.  I'm going to knit a pair of gloves.  Then a  girlfriend and her hubby came over for coffee we ate the raspberries then she and I went out for lunch and stopped at the ag museum because there was an exhibit about raising sheep in South Dakota and there were pictures of her dad with his sheep. And the day was only half over.  Hubby and I went to the SDSU Jackrabbits football game in time to wander around the tailgating area and see friends and relatives and I told everyone that I got a hug from a  Chip and Dale dancer for my birthday.  Hubby had to jump in quickly with the disclaimer that the Chip and Dale dancer is a childhood buddy of our son.  He is still a Chip and Dale Dancer and very handsome.  I saw my oldest brother at the game he told me I was officially and old lady now, I lifted his cap to reveal his white hair and said I look like the baby sister compared to you. He could not top my hug story.  The Jacks won.  Still finding little ways to continue celebrating the rest of the month.  --Ann--
