Design Wall Monday

This is as far as I have gotten on queen size quilt for second son. And wouldn't you know one of the planes did a loop on me. I think the south bound planes look like neck ties against a classy blue shirt but then there is that bar across the bottom of the tie, belly up to the bar boys! ha  This is the point where I reconsider buying the quilt designing software it would make it easier to visualize the next round of blocks and get the size right. I hope there is progress this week. I'm thinking there will be flying geese on two sides and maybe saw tooth stars on the other two sides or maybe an 9 patch with alternating squares followed by a round of?????........oh the possibilities.......... and some little spacer pieces to make it fit notice my little red squares between the flying geese. I love the wayward plane! He's done with his mission and heading home. They do look like neckties, too! This is going to be an awesome quilt!

Neckties, I would not have thought of that!

what a beautiful quilt! The wayward plane gives it so much character. I didn't see the neckties until you mentioned it, but still I see planes first :)

I love those colors -- and the planes. But now that you said it, I'm not going to be able to unsee the neckties.
