Old Buildings

Just some old buildings most of them were old buildings.............
These rods on the side of the building were the units of measure for length so anything to be sold or purchased that needed to be measured was measured against these rods and they were different from village to village.
Many old buildings had murals pained on the front.

The roof tiles were all the same color is the villages because the raw materials came from local sources, they might be terra cotta or slate.  I like the uniformity.

Those people are all painted and looking at Mount Blanc from Chamonix, France

This building was carved wood and was across the street from the chocolate shop.

The dates on the building are for when it was built and the second date it when it was restored.
Most of the old city centers have a law that says nothing can be build taller than the oldest tallest structure which is usually an old cathedral or church.
